Hyphen Heath's Personal Life

Hey, it's me, Hyphen Heath, for the last time. Today, I'm going to tell you about my personal life. Okay, so I was hanging out with my sister ,Cara Beth Comma, and we saw Evan Exclamation do a first-class back-flip on his skateboard! Evan Exclamation is a fun-loving guy, but he barely gets time to have fun during the day, because of his full-time job. My sister and I are well-known people, because we're really popular. My sister is really active; commas are just all over the place! I'm a little more laid-back. My best friend is Demondrae Direct Object, but my sister's best friend is Bethany Bracket. I have good punctuation mark friends, but I try to avoid dashes, because they give me an identity crisis. My life as a hyphen is amazing. For example I just got a brand-new, fine-tuned, non-used guitar yesterday. Also, I go to a top-notch school for puncuation marks where they teach me much-needed rules. I also like to work part-time in all kinds of sentences and paragraphs. My life's dream is to be the world-champion of the punctuation games. The competition is tough, but I'm a world-class hyphen. I'm not a fame-seeking mark; I just want to be the best hyphen I can be. I guess I'm just a simple, straight-line kind of guy. I think other people find me thought-provoking and kind-hearted, even if I'm not world-renowned. Being a hyphen is great.

P.S. I am posting a picture of myself so you all will know what I look like.

Hyphen Heath's Lesson on hyphens

Hey, this Hyphen Heath again. I'm going to tell you about using me. Personally, I think the rules for hyphens are pretty self-explanatory, but I'm a hyphen, so I'll just give you a little heads-up. There are a lot of well-meaning people out there, but a lot of them are brain-dead when using hyphens. As a hyphen, I'm self-motivated to tell others about what I do. Also, I'm the best person to tell you, because, when it comes to hyphens, I'm mistake-free. Now, I'll tell you the rules for hyphens. Okay, you use a hyphen to divide a word when you run out of room at the end of a line. A top-notch writer would never ever use me to split a word in the middle of a syllable. Also, you use hyphens in all the numbers from twenty-two to ninety-nine, and fractions used as modifiers; for example, one-fourth of a cup. Use hyphens with prefixes and suffixes too. It is all-important. Finally, hyphenate a compound adjective when it precedes the noun it modifies unless one of the modifiers ends in - ly. Here's an example: a world-famous actor, or a fully formed sentence. Well, those are the much-needed rules that you should apply when using me. Also, remember we hyphens aren't used much, but when we are, we're a first-class mark. All-in-all, my job is easy, and I love it.

Hyphen Heath

Hi, I'm Hyphen Heath. As you can tell, I'm an all-important hyphen. I'm just a plain and simple hyphen. That's good, because I like things plain and simple. As a hyphen, I'm just a straight line. All I do for a living is connect two words, or I help a word continue on another line. I may not be world-famous; I may not get used twenty-two times a day, but I really hold things together. As you can see, because I'm a hyphen, I'm a connective person. Sometimes I'm depressed, because I don't get used as much as the other guys, but I' ve learned to be self-confident. Some hyphens are concerned about how little we get used, but I am worry-free. The other guys may get all the attention, but I don't have to work one-half as hard. I, presonally, as a hyphen, am a self-starter; I'm pro-active when it comes to hyphens. I'm not very demanding; I have everything I could want, except I wish I were used more. The thing is I'm very helpful when I can be. Yeah, I'm an all-around good guy, and I like being a hyphen.
